“To create a society promoting solidarity through science”
This has always been the main goal of Gray Matter.
Named after the brownish-gray neural tissues which comprise the majority of the brain and spinal cord, Gray Matter stands as the sole environmentally-inclined and science related organization of the newly established School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA). Despite being the youngest organization of the former School of Teacher Education (STE), it never ceases to cater and provide guidance to the young minds of aspiring science teachers.
This year, sharing the positive nature of a proton, Gray Matter is planning its long-awaited comeback. By upgrading the organization’s traditional projects and innovating new ones, as well as taking things to another level, another Big Bang explosion is perhaps set to commence. But what is more fascinating than watching a paramecium under the microscope is the fact that these benefits are not solely focused on catering to the sciences only. This year, Gray Matter opened its doors to non-science and non-education students alike. This is to extend the common understanding of the scientific field and to slowly relinquish the traditional perception towards science.
So heed the call of science and let the adrenaline rush in your veins! It might not be rocket science but through Gray Matter, EVERYDAY IS SCIENCE!
